The United States currently has more than 32,826 cases of coronavirus according to and the 406 dead mark has been reached across the country according to Worldometer. Figures which are lower at Bloomberg at the time of writing (see below). Half of these deaths were recorded in Washington State. 

To stem the spread of the virus, Donald Trump banned nationals of twenty-six European countries from traveling to the United States from March 13, 2020. On site, several cities including New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC or San Francisco have closed bars, restaurants, and nightclubs for at least 15 days.

 Since Thursday, March 19 in the evening, the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, has placed the entire state in containment to fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
